About LifeClass
Inspiration
I noticed that many students in schools lack real-life skills like confidence, communication, and decision-making. Schools focus mainly on academics, but not on preparing students for real-world situations. This inspired me to create LifeClass.
What I Built
LifeClass is an activity-based learning program for students aged 9–14. Instead of lectures, students practice skills through real-world activities like talking to new people, presenting in front of family, and trying small business challenges with parental guidance.
To make this system more effective and structured, I also built an app to manage activities, track student progress, and ensure consistent participation. This makes the program more organized and scalable.
How I Built It
I designed chapters like confidence, decision-making, problem-solving, and sales. Each chapter includes practical activities to ensure students apply what they learn. I approached schools and successfully got one school to accept a pilot program.
Challenges I Faced
One major challenge was balancing this project with my 10th-grade studies. I also realized that managing multiple schools at once would be risky, so I decided to start with one school as a pilot. Another challenge was designing activities that students would actually complete seriously.
What I Learned
I learned how to approach schools, communicate my idea clearly, and think about risk before scaling. I also learned that execution and consistency are more important than just having a good idea.
