LifeBot

A Telegram Bot, backend platform and frontend prototype to easily help detect diseases from given symptoms. Powered by NLP it almost feels like telling your problems to a real doctor.

Installation

Install all dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

Configuration

This API uses APIMEDIC Api for medical queries. To access APIMEDIC api Sign Up on https://apimedic.com, and set following environment variables with credentials available at https://apimedic.com/apikeys.

export password=<your_api_key_password>

Start the server

Start the API server using

python3 server.py

/ - Default Page
/symptoms - List of all available symptoms
/disease/<symptom_id>/<gender>/<year> - Most probable disease based on given symptoms. Concatenate multiple Symptoms using +.
Example: /disease/9+10/male/1998 returns { "profName": "Foodborne illness", "simpleName": "Food poisoning", "status": "ok" }

/condition/<disease> - Medical Conditions for given disease.
Example: /condition/influenza returns

NLP Engine

NLP Engine is hosted on Heroku and use node-nlp library for Natural Language Processing. It takes statement from user and returns possible symptoms over a REST API.
