Inspiration

Taking YouTube to the next level by connecting people with real experts that can assist with your need but also provide a video copy for you to reference at a later point.

How we built it

We developed an IOS app using swift. We used Twilio to incorporate video calls that will be recorded and later saved and downloaded by the user. The back end was developed using typescript and cockroach DB along with GCP Function, GCP Pub Sub, and GCP Storage to hold the recorded videos that can also be shared with other users.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge we ran into was figuring out the logistics of how we wanted this app to function and how we wanted the users and experts to interact as well as how we wanted users to interact with one another.

What's next for Life Tips

We would like to continue working and developing this idea further and eventually create two apps; one for users and one for experts. Each app will function differently as users will be looking for specialized help in a field and experts will be signing up to help and picking up requests.
