Being born and brought up in Sonbhadra, a region rich in coal mines, I have grown up witnessing the risks faced by mine workers every day. Frequent news of accidents and unsafe working conditions inspired us to build LIFE SAVER, a solution focused on protecting lives through technology.
LIFE SAVER is an AI-based rockfall prediction and alert system that analyzes slope, environmental, and vibration data to identify potential rockfall risks and sends early warnings to prevent accidents in open-pit mines. We built the system using machine learning models, publicly available datasets, and open-source tools. The solution includes a risk prediction engine, a dashboard for real-time monitoring, and an alert system for timely notifications.
