Lick the Cone or I'll Freeze Your Butt Off

Inspiration & Motivation

My desire to do something different inspired me to build the app.
Also, my grandkids inspired me.

I had ChatGPT help refine the prompt. Other than that, I used Bolt.new.

The Project

I started late and didn't have a lot of time, so I made a game.
I'm going to try and enter it into the Reddit Useless Sh!t Challenge if I can get the entry right.
I plan on using Bolt.new for a whole lot more in the future.

Challenges & Learning

I faced a lot of challenges which made me learn a lot.
It seemed like I hit a wall with every turn.

Bolt.new was good, but then I had to deal with:

• GitHub
• Netlify
• Ionos

I learned enough to make me feel more comfortable about doing this in the future.

The Game: Lick the Cone 🍦

My project is a game called Lick the Cone.

• Cones come down from above.
• You use your cursor tongue to click on them for points.
• Click the cone with a cherry on top to double your points for 10 seconds.

Outcome

• Win the game: You get a trophy image. 🏆
  
• Lose the game: It will freeze your butt off. ❄️

I think this qualifies for the Reddit Useless Sh!t Challenge.

Hopefully, this project has me started on a new path, which I describe later in the text about the inspirational bonus.
