Inspiration

Increasingly in research, it becomes more necessary to take care of copyrights on the use of papers and files, and through Universal Data Licenses, this can now be done in DeSci (Decentralized Science) with Permaweb and Arweave.

What it does

Licensor allows you to upload papers to the Permaweb thanks to Arweave, and to be able to license them using UDL (Universal Data License) to protect the creators of publications and research content.

How we built it

Using Arweave Javascript SDK, UDL (Universal Data Licenses), and .NET Framework to enable new functionalities in the future.

Challenges we ran into

Create the platform without experience with Arweave (just knowledge).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Achieve a basic proof of concept (and find a business opportunity) in a short amount of time for the hackathon.

What we learned

Using Arweave, its file storage capabilities, and universal data licenses to protect content for its creators.

What's next for Licensor

Enable a marketplace for published papers. Transform Licensor in a new startup.
