Inspiration

The team brainstormed for a while on what we wanted to accomplish and it led to a library management system. Since we are first-time hackers at a hackathon we want to do something that utilizes the best of our skills.

What it does

Our Project is a Library Management system that provides a user-friendly interface to manage and display books, users, and transactions within a library. Built using Java and Swing, the system provides functionalities such as adding and removing items based on their type, displaying items in a table format, and managing transactional details.

How I built it

The team built the program using Java and the Swing library provided by it.

Challenges I ran into

As with any project, it comes with its array of challenges, one of the challenges that especially stopped us at the beginning was working with Git and Git Hub. None of us had ever used those applications before and it was a huge learning curve. In addition, we had to deal with data integration complexities, data user interface design, and debugging.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Our team is happy with our accomplishments of creating a user-friendly interface, implementing efficient data management, and ensuring system reliability.

What I learned

Throughout the process of building our Library Management System, our team gained valuable learning experience in requirements analysis, database integration, and working efficiently as a team.

What's next for Library Management

Given the short time we had on building our program, we plan to focus on optimizing and fine-tuning our Library Management System by addressing any minor issues found in our code and expanding the features available to our users.
