Liberatus is a Chrome / Edge browser extension that helps you open social media with a purpose and leave without regret.
It is a HTML-loaded Manifest V3 extension: the toolbar popup is the app, and content scripts intervene on TikTok and LinkedIn while a session is active.
What Liberatus does TikTok Start with an intention. After 5 scrolls, pause with Leave / Resume / Keep grinding for money (closes the pause sheet completely). Every 10th scroll (10, 20, 30…) a loud jumpscare flashes — even while grinding.
LinkedIn Start with one concrete task and a time boundary. Pause when the timer ends so you can leave or continue deliberately.
Progress Tracks completed intentional sessions and minutes protected in local browser storage.
No account, no backend, no feed content stored — session metrics stay in chrome.storage.local on your machine.
