Inspiration

We were inspired by the opportunity to turn contracts from static documents into dynamic assets. Businesses often miss critical deadlines and insights buried within agreements. With this idea, we envisioned Visionary Contracts: an AI-powered platform that transforms contract management into a strategic advantage, enabling businesses to track deadlines, predict renewals, and uncover actionable insights seamlessly.

What it Does

Lexora seeks the achieve the following goals:

1. Data Liberation: Extract critical contract data (e.g., deadlines, clauses, obligations) from static formats.
2. Proactive Management: Provide automated reminders and notifications for renewals, obligations, and opportunities.
3. Strategic Insights: Predict outcomes for renewals, negotiations, or terminations, offering businesses a data-driven path to optimize agreements.
4. Streamlined Collaboration: Centralize contract data, enable team annotations, and streamline workflows.

The result is a complete seamless experience that gives businesses to know which contracts are due and the severity of the contracts.

How We Built It

• Frontend: Built with NextJS which delivered a clean and user-friendly interface.
  
• Backend: Powered by AI-based NLP models to parse and summarize content, ensuring clarity and coherence in the generated. Also used regression models to do predictive analysis on the contracts.
  
• PDF Parsing/Integration with DocuSign: Utilized various packages to PDF parsing and incorporated the DocuSign API (Monitor API) to monitor anomalies.

Challenges We Faced

1. Legal Language Complexity: Contract language is very complicated and there are many possibilities.
2. Integration Complexity: We had many APIs that needed to be integrated, so we need a robust design.
3. User Adoption: Intuitive UX/UI design and a robust onboarding process is needed to ensure a smooth transition for large companies and ease of use.
