Inspiration
My inspiration for this product is based around a few concepts, including drawing inspiration from NCR paper (carbonless copy paper) and how the specialized inks react with the paper to create a record of provenance; designed to be a support service for when you are running agentic tasks with full permission on (CodexMaxxing) and are still interested in having provenance and personal agency.
What it does
It let's you set the boundaries and gives permission to specific tasks instead of letting the agent decide; it creates traceable changes and a clear human moment/interaction to grant or reject, while keeping the project momentum in tact while allowing the agent full freedom in the 'sandbox', and human authority on what ships.
How we built it
Local first prototype built in Python with Git-native isolation; agents run in a protected workspace with traceable changes and a human granting permission. Built and tested using Codex 5.6 and ChatGPT 5.6
Challenges we ran into
Beyond the usual bug testing and UI/GUI challenges, the biggest challenge for me was dealing with account level security bottlenecks while testing agentic workflows and compiling the project, another was defining the trust boundaries (letting the agent move freely while keeping provenance and human agency) and the friction between translating what the product is and what is being shown in the interface, and later the demo(s).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Turning a fuzzy trust problem into a working model; proving that agentic freedom and human authority can co-exist in copasetic fashion in one workflow - of creating a clear bridge between agent freedom and human agency.
What we learned
Permissions aren't just a 'toggle' rather something that needs a structure/boundary; security, safety and support are all part of the same network, and should be treated and utilized as such.
What's next for Leucoform
Various fixes and tests still being done; finished product still in development - dogfooding, hardening the workflow, GUI and UI wrapper/fixes and moving towards a useable app.
