[undefined_variable] LetsTalk

Inspiration

We felt that the younger generation of Singaporeans might not be in touch with their mother tongue and dialect as much as they could. So we set out to create a platform that strives to fix this problem, by gamifying the process of learning dialects from experienced speakers.

What it does

Essentially a chatting application between youth and elderly that encourages the youth to converse in the language the elderly is familiar with.

How we built it

Using Typescript and react-native to build the front-end and Firebase for backend.

Challenges we ran into

Trying to incorporate AI into our feature under the strict time limit

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A chatGPT assisted chat function that suggests fixes to a youth's message after it was sent.
