Gather Up!

What is Gather Up?

Our project is inspired by the outdated and difficult-to-use website called When2Meet. When2Meet is a website that collects data on the best times to schedule plans. We gave this website a fresh, new interactive interface by combining Python, HTML, JavaScript, Vite, and Flask. These days, we often find ourselves stuck at home, struggling to coordinate meetups with friends, classmates, or teammates. Scheduling should be simple, but existing tools can feel outdated and frustrating to use.

Once users submit their schedules, our Flask API processes the data, helping groups quickly identify the most popular meeting times. Our website focuses on the user's schedule and allows them to click their free times for the day. After the user picks their schedule, the data is sent to the backend using a Flask API.

We felt that this website needed a redesign because scheduling meetups should be simple, not frustrating. As board members of student organizations, we often struggle to coordinate meetings that work for everyone. Having an intuitive and efficient way to collect availability ensures that more people can attend, making our gatherings more inclusive and productive.
