Inspiration

As I am a Student, Let’s Connect website is an Educational Website which was built with the inspiration to solve the struggle of Indian Students and of other students of finding relevant options of Hackathon Hosting Platforms and Upcoming Events at one place. Rather than browsing on Google to find about Upcoming events, come to LET'S CONNECT .

What it does

Let’s Connect is the educational website where you can find and can also connect with multiple Hackathon Hosting Websites and Events such as Webinars and Seminars at one place.

In early years of my coding journey, I knew about Hackathons but struggling to find secure Hackathon Hosting Platforms and Events at one place. By taking that problem in mind, I built LET’S CONNECT.

Below are the Main Uses of LET'S CONNECT

1. Relevant Access of Information:-

Students or any user will easily find relevant information through our perfect navigation system of webpages and also through our Chatbot “HackaEvent”.

2. Secure Navigation Path:-

As Cyber threats are increasing, many websites knowingly or unknowingly put harmful hyperlinks but on LET'S CONNECT we will provide secure platforms links, all platforms will check twice before displaying to any student or user screen.

3. Finding Events Easily:-

In India, there is no fully secure website which list events of India, even famous platform Eventbrite also don’t list any Indian Events. Therefore Indian Students will find seminars easily on LET’S CONNECT.

What Problems Does Let’s Connect Solve ?

After doing a detailed research, I find not a single website which list all secure Hackathon Hosting Platforms and Upcoming Events together at one place, that’s why Let’s Connect was created.

Below are the main problems which LET’S CONNECT will solve :-

1) Ease of Information:-

Let’s Connect will give only relevant information about Hackathon Hosting Platforms and Upcoming Events to the Students and professionals at one platform.

2) Appealing Design:-

As some websites has not good User Interface(UI), many students sometimes find websites not secure and also find boring to tackle this situation, Let’s Connect website has a eye-catching design so that students or any another user don’t find platform boring.

3) Modernize Information:-

I know the importance of latest information for students and the struggle to find relevant and latest information, on Let’s Connect you will always find upcoming events such as Seminars or Webinars of different categories.

Why Let’s Connect is Unique ?

LET'S CONNECT is unique in mainly three ways :-

  1. Some website is not listing or giving secure navigation path to Hackathon Hosting Platforms or for registration of an Event.
  2. In future, Let’s Connect will make separate webpage for showing preferred Hackathon Hosting Platforms to students.
  3. LET'S CONNECT Chatbot:- Let’s Connect is the only website which uses Chatbot called “HackaEvent” which is built to answer specific questions of students and users related to Hackathons
    and Events, rather than searching through whole Internet.

How I built it

There are in total 5 steps to built LET'S CONNECT :-

Step 1:-

Create a layout of Website.

Step 2:-

Implementing and created website design as per layout

Step 3:-

Make three separate webpages. for Hackathons, Webinars and Seminars.

Step 4:-

Find secure Hackathon Hosting Platforms and upcoming events through Internet and list it out on particular webpage.

Step 5:-

Built HackaEvent Chatbot.

Challenges I ran into

1st Challenge:-

First challenge was I had, was to make website eye-catching so that students and other users don't find it boring.

2nd Challenge:-

Second challenge I faced, was to make website responsive and be compatible in any browser

3rd Challenge:-

At the end I faced the challenge to built AI chatbot, which can all basic questions and answer all advanced questions related to Hackathons and Events.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

By building LET'S CONNECT I am feeling very much proud that this website will solve the problems of many Students and of many young people. The another accomplishment that I am proud of is to built a Chatbot for students which will save time for them.

What I learned

After completing this project I learned three things:-

  1. I learned how to make AI Chatbot.
  2. I learned which type of designs should I make according to different topics.
  3. I learned more about Bootstrap by making Let's Connect fully responsive and browser compatible website.

What's next for LET'S CONNECT

Below are the future plans for LET'S CONNECT :-

  1. In future Let’s Connect will list more conferences rather than just limiting to India.
  2. Let’s Connect will list top Hackathon Hosting Websites as per their ratings and will earn from them.
  3. Let’s Connect will run ads for proper functioning of website.
  4. Let’s Connect will enable cookies to show relevant ads of education related to students.
  5. Let's Connect website have chances to grow like Eventbrite website if they find proper support.
