We've all seen a delicious recipe on TikTok or Instagram, saved it, and then never actually made it.

That got us thinking: What if you could actually learn to cook the food you see online, just by playing a game?

That's how Cook the Trend started.

What It Does

Cook the Trend is a Roblox cooking game that turns viral food videos into interactive cooking experiences.

Players scroll through recipes, enter a 3D kitchen, and learn to prepare dishes like ramen, burgers, and fruit cups.

You can slice ingredients, cook food, and get instant feedback. At the end, you receive a real recipe card so you can try making the dish at home.

Our goal is simple: Stop scrolling. Start cooking.

How We Built It

We built the game using Roblox Studio and Luau. We created interactive cooking mechanics, 3D food models, realistic slicing with EditableMesh, and a scoring system that tracks player performance.

Challenges We Faced

The hardest part was making cooking feel realistic while keeping the game simple and fun. We also had to work around Roblox's mesh limitations and make the interface work on different screen sizes.

What We Learned

We learned a lot about 3D game development, procedural meshes, and designing interactive experiences.

More importantly, we realized that games can be more than entertainment. They can teach real-world skills.

What's Next

We want to add more trending recipes, multiplayer cooking challenges, and AI-powered feedback.

Eventually, we'd love for players to share pictures of dishes they've made in real life.

Because why just watch someone cook when you can learn to do it yourself?
