Inspiration

LearnDna AI was inspired by the fact that every student learns differently, but most learning platforms provide the same explanation to all users. This creates gaps in understanding and reduces engagement. The idea was to build an AI system that adapts learning content to each student’s preferred style.

What it does

LearnDna AI is a personalized learning platform powered by Gemini AI that generates explanations in multiple styles such as stories, step-by-step breakdowns, beginner-friendly notes, coding examples, and real-life analogies. It also supports multiple languages, saves learning history, and generates AI-based quizzes to reinforce learning.

How it was built

The project was built using Python, Flask, HTML, and CSS. Gemini API is used as the core intelligence layer to generate personalized explanations and quizzes. Flask handles routing, user input, and backend logic, while the frontend provides a simple interactive interface.

Challenges faced

The main challenges included designing effective prompts for consistent AI output, integrating the Gemini API smoothly with Flask, handling multiple learning styles, and ensuring the responses remain simple and accurate for students.

Accomplishments

A fully functional AI-powered learning system was successfully built that can adapt explanations, generate quizzes, and support multilingual learning in a clean and user-friendly interface.

What was learned

This project improved skills in Flask development, API integration, prompt engineering, and building AI-driven educational applications using Gemini API.
