Inspiration
The inspiration behind LeoNet was to create a mini game platform that offers a fun and competitive environment for players, while also ensuring the privacy of their personal information. We wanted to provide a game where players could showcase their skills without revealing their player addresses.
What it does
LeoNet is a mini game platform that features a game called ClickMaster. In ClickMaster, players have one minute to click as many times as possible. The game keeps track of the number of clicks made by each player and displays the leaderboard with the top performers.
How we built it
To build LeoNet, we utilized a combination of technologies. We developed the platform using web development tools such as Vite, Typescript. We used Leo for the program.
Challenges we ran into
Not much examples. testnet slow. testnet unstable. fee too high or faucet amount too small. The current best way to test looks like bash script. No good/dedicated team/clear to developer support channel. Check Thirdweb or Moralis Discord channel as good example. Grantees are supportive but all of them have their own disperse to reach them and the questions are sometimes more related to Leo, Aleo testnet than their project products
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Implementing the ClickMaster game and leaderboard functionality while maintaining user. Adding string while Leo is not natively supporting it. Deploy on testnet.
What we learned
Building LeoNet provided us with valuable learning experiences. Leo language. Run cli commands, familiarize with ecosystem.
What's next for LeoNet
In the future, we plan to expand LeoNet by adding more mini games to the platform. We aim to provide a diverse range of game options to cater to different player preferences. Additionally, we will continue to enhance the platform's security and privacy features to ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming experience for all users. We also plan to explore the integration of social features, such as player profiles and the ability to challenge friends, to further enhance the community aspect of LeoNet.
