NFTLens aims to become a cross platform NFT Adoption solution by allowing users to showcase their NFT as a filter in any video calling app of their choice. We have tested it on GoogleMeet and Zoom. NFTLens provides a platform as well as an extension which provides a virtual camera to the user so that they can use their NFT as AR filters on various web2 platforms.

Beside this the creators benefit from the plug and play dashboard which gives them the opportunity to convert their NFT into an AR filter in just minutes just upload your filter set the filter on your face and publish it so every owner of that NFT can use the filter.

We believe the true power of NFT is in utility and with the current remote environment for working this makes it possible for everyone to showcase their NFT on various occasions.

Why

We all really love the pfp avatars of NFT but they are just the beginnings and their is still a lot of utility to explore so we thought of taking this to the next level by creating a cross-platform extension which allows users to showcase their nft on various different web2 as well as web3 platforms. To make the solution more economically viable and associate it to a cause we have also added a D2E (Display To Earn) aspect to the platform so that the user can earn something as by using the NFT AR filter of a particular brand they are essentially marketing them and a lot of the brands would be interested in organic marketing. This forms the basis of our Thesis

Companies usually give goodies to their users in order to bring brand awareness but with the recent increase in adoption of internet as well as blockchain we believe there are better ways to efficiently market your products.

The remote video calling apps have become a necessity in the current generation so we this gives us a big audience for marketing your brand to the public,

NFTLens has tries to fill in this gap by allowing users to wear their NFT AR gears on any platform with our extension.

For the corporate it provides a huge opportuinity to market their brand via events and hosting competitions that if a player wears their AR NFT to "X" numbers of meeting they will receive a prize.

Non Profit Organizations can release their NFT to donors which essentially lives with the donors forever and they can wear it as an AR filter anywhere they want. This creates a win-win situation for both users and organizations.

Architecture

We have used a mix of various frameworks in order to build our platform. We wanted to build our architecture as scalable as possible hence we decided to shape our architecture in a way to accommodate large userbase easily and with minimal centralization.

NFT : All the NFT lives on XRPL providing security and robust architecture for us to build on.

Authentication: We onboard user via XUMM this makes users less dependent on our platform for authentication as well as provide certain security guarantees to the users as they do not have to share their secret-key with us or extensions

Extension: We have build an easy to use extension so users can directly plug it in their browser and start using their NFT's as filters on multiple platforms.

Challenges : The best way to retain users is to keep them hooked up with various different events and challenges that provide them real benefits

Challenges we ran into

• The most difficult part was to intercept the video stream and apply the AR filter to it and also to create a dashboard where creators can edit the placement of filter and other things

Future Updates

We truly feel that NFT and Streaming are interconnected. We want to take this project to it's full potential. Future updates that we have planned are :

Marketplace Outreach : Contacting Market place and listing our contracts to various markets

Improving AR : This is a very basic proof of concept AR implementation which can be improved by a lot and we have a great team of ML engineers to improve on it.

Bringing Tournaments : Users will be able to compete in the tournaments for rare NFT
