Inspiration
About LendDue: A Modern Lending Application Inspiration LendDue was conceived to simplify and modernize financial lending, aiming for an intuitive, visually appealing, and efficient platform for loan processing and client management. The core idea was "smart lending, simplified."
How it was Built The application was developed using a modern web stack: React for its component-based architecture, Vite for fast development, Tailwind CSS for utility-first styling, and Lucide React for icons. Navigation is handled by React Router DOM, and data is currently mocked to facilitate UI development. A detailed design system guided the aesthetic and functional choices.
What was Learned Key learnings included the immense value of a design system for consistency and speed, the benefits of component-driven development, the efficiency of Tailwind CSS for rapid UI building, the importance of clear data modeling, and the necessity of adaptability in development.
Challenges Faced Challenges involved maintaining design consistency across the growing application, managing the complexity of mock data, fine-tuning responsive design, and anticipating the future complexities of real API integration. The recent name change from "LendWise" to "LendDue" also presented a significant refactoring task.
