What it does

It gives its users timely reminders about their food waste awareness.

How we built it

Its made in python using the popular python-telegram-bot.

Challenges we ran into

Having the bot run 24/7
Having separate job queues for each users
Having an intuitive UI design pattern

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Cloud hosting as well as creating a fully functional back-end library for python-telegram-bot complete with user management (saving, loading etc) and a modular design pattern as well to allow for reusability in other projects.

What we learned

We learned about cloud hosting (the bot is hosted on an EC2 instance on AWS server)
We also dived more into how python-telegram-bot works and how to quickly create prototypes of bots for testing and even production later on.
We also did more research on food waste management strategies in Singapore and their effectiveness as well as how we can incorporate or even improve on them via our project.
