Inspiration
Back in 2021 we observed a P2E model entering the market. Following deployment of few productions we have noticed that blockchain gaming productions significantly stand out against traditional gaming industry productions. We analyzed the market and took this opportunity. Legends of Elysium adventure began.
What it does
Legends of Elysium is a fantasy Play-To-Earn card game enhanced with strategic elements, where players compete during weekly League and monthly eSports Tournaments to win grand prizes. Our Free-To-Play economy enables users to play and earn every day by doing daily quests and competing with other players. The most active in supporting the game ecosystem users are additionally rewarded with an opportunity to become Board Validators and receive extra income. The game combines an incredible, immersive classic card game experience with the ground-breaking technology behind non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Its initial version will be released as a web-based game to be platform independent and reach the broadest audience possible. Players will have a chance to experience both single player and multiplayer modes in Legends of Elysium, so we believe that everyone will find something for himself.
How we built it
To fulfill one of our main goals: delivering AAA quality game to the blockchain! We decided to work with professionals. We interviewed a few software studios and chose a perfect partner for us - Prime Bit Games. PBG is an experienced development studio listed on the stock exchange. They have developed two dozens of games and have substantial experience in delivering projects on time. Their hits are: Clash, Clash 2, Steam: Rails to Riches and Magic Nations. The core team has prepared the GDD, economy model, tokenomics, project documentation, smart contracts mechanics and all other important aspects of the game.
Challenges we ran into
From the very beginning we had to choose the right software studio to produce the game for us. We have been very lucky finding PrimeBit Games. Our artists are from all around the world. We interviewed many of them, checked their portfolio and asked them for test pieces of artwork. Due to the huge experience of our Art Director - Marcin Dudek, we have selected a group of 8 experienced graphics designers producing 150 characters for initial MVP production. An approx. additional 600 illustrations are to be produced in planned expansions of our production. Great challenge for us have been Smart Contracts, we knew they would be a piece of work :) Our game economics is based on a unique mechanism, with a self sustainable treasury. Coding them is a completely different story, our Engineers "hate us" and love the challenge :) Great fun but hard element of scope to conquer. Yet in front of us is to capture the perfect balance in the game. Card games are all about balance, this is still in front of us. The biggest challenge is to attract a humongous amount of users to enjoy, get fun, Play AND Earn Legend of Elysium :)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We aim to become a bridge for gamers from the traditional gaming industry to blockchain. Delivering eSports to masses to compete on fair base tournaments. Self sustainable treasury - unique economy with one token in production, serves governance and utility. Community engagement to steer game development through voting. Amazing characters and focus on quality at Legends of Elysium.
What we learned
Running a gaming project is challenging on its own. Creating a fun environment combined with hard work is a key to success. We care about our team and support each other in every situation.
What's next for Legends of Elysium
We will start our Alpha testing soon, in Q3/Q4 2022 closed Beta will be introduced to selected community members, professional gamers, investors and KOLs.
