Inspiration
Legendary Tales is a VR Action RPG game that is inspired by Diablo1~2 and Dark souls. It has almost every elements that Diablo series has, and fighting feeling of Dark souls. (Random Number Generated Item, Item ratings(Normal, Magic ~ Legendary), Crafting, Skill tree system, Attributes, crafting, etc...
What it does
Legendary Tales is an action RPG where players explore various dungeons and fields, defeat monsters, collect equipment, and develop their characters.
- Fully Physics-based real-time combat system that supports up-to 4people co-op play.
- Various builds based on weapons and magic
- Rewards and growth through exploration
- Players can create their own unique playstyle as they carve out their own path.
How we built it
Engine : UE4, Physics : PhysX, All game epic musics are in-house made.
Challenges we ran into
- Full Physics networking that is not just a rag-doll ( includes enemies, weapon, Objects )
- Spawn 100+ enemies that uses physics in the map
- Make big world that player can go anywhere.

What we learned
How to make Immersive XR games. What to add more, what to remove more. For example, interaction in XR is one of basic thing to keep in mind. But we realized that it's not a basic thing. It's a thing to more sharpen it out. We developed everything from the question, how to give a nice feeling of "interaction". For example this "interaction" includes the sword fighting that two swords meet that people indirectly can feel.
What's next for Legendary Tales
Maybe a DLC, if it goes well. We are going go release DLC for PSVR2 and PCVR early next year. Maybe if everything goes well on Quest, we could port that DLC on Quest as well.
