Inspiration

What it does

Legacy Office Manager was inspired by a real problem I faced as a general contractor and small business owner. I realized I was spending more time managing emails, phone calls, scheduling, estimates, and paperwork than actually building projects. After missing an important customer opportunity because I simply forgot to follow up, I started asking a different question: instead of working harder, could AI help me buy my time back?

I built Legacy Office Manager to become an AI-powered office employee for small businesses. Rather than acting as another chatbot, it organizes communications, schedules, daily priorities, and business information into a single Command Center while allowing the owner to stay in control of every important decision through human confirmation.

The project was built using OpenAI technologies, including Codex and GPT-5.6, together with n8n workflows, SvelteKit, GitHub, and Cloudflare Pages. Throughout Build Week, I iterated on the user experience, integrated voice interaction, connected business workflows, and refined the interface into a working prototype.

The biggest challenge was bringing together multiple technologies into one seamless experience while keeping the interface simple enough for busy business owners. Along the way I learned how powerful AI becomes when it is focused on solving real-world problems rather than simply answering questions.

My long-term vision is to help entrepreneurs and small businesses reclaim their time so they can focus on growing their businesses and spending more time with the people who matter most.

This should satisfy the project story requirement while staying true to what you've built.

Update: Shortly after submitting, I discovered that the YouTube demo had been exported without audio due to an export issue in Clipchamp. The application itself was unaffected, and I corrected the export and uploaded a new version with working audio. For anyone following the project's progress, the corrected demo is available here:
