How I built it
It all began with one “failed” track — music I wrote for a fake MMORPG. That piece became the seed of a 7-track album inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh.
I composed original music for each of the Seven Deadly Sins, then expanded it into a film where music drives the story.
To bring it alive I used:
- AI visuals: MidJourney, Freepik (unlimited generations), Mystic, Seedance, Google tools.
- Voices: ElevenLabs v3 (down to breaths, sighs, even yawns), animated with HeyGen.
- Enhancement: Enhancor for face textures, Bloom for realism.
The result grew into a hybrid of concert music, narration, and AI-driven film woven together.
Challenges I ran into
- Keeping character consistency across hundreds of AI-generated frames.
- Financing an almost hour-long film without a studio budget.
- Balancing music, visuals, and narration so none overshadowed the others.
- Rethinking Humbaba: from raging monster into a broken, grandfatherly voice split with his Eternal side.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- Turning a scam into a new kind of epic.
- Writing a 7-track original score that doesn’t just accompany but drives the narrative.
- Building a visual-audio work where myth, music, and AI converge.
- Recasting Humbaba, the first monster in literature, as a narrator reflecting our own flaws.
What I learned
- AI is not a gimmick but a tool that can extend artistic language.
- Limits (budget, resolution, time) can spark creativity.
- Ancient myths still resonate when re-imagined with modern tools.
- Blending sound, word, and image creates impact greater than any single medium.
What's next for LEGACY OF GILGAMESH
I plan to:
- Release the film and album publicly.
- Develop an interactive audiobook / e-book with layered narration for education and art.
- Bring the work to festivals and live performances, where music and visuals intertwine.
- Keep exploring how AI can be an artistic partner — not replacing but amplifying human creativity.
