Inspiration

I was inspired to come to this event and meet interesting new people and learn more about the software side of things. Once I found out there would be a hardware kit, I was excited that I would be able to submit a working project.

What it does

It is an LCD screen that displays alphabetic characters based on the inputs received from a button and touch sensor. It uses morse code as a base for the translation process

How we built it

We built it using the Arduino IDE and the seeduino libraries with the grove beginner kit.

Challenges we ran into

Our group is comprised of beginners, so only one of us knew C. We spent most of the 36 hours learning what we could about C and the Arduino syntax.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making a working project was more than I expected and I am proud of that.

What we learned

We learned a lot about C and how to work efficiently as a team.

What's next for LED Morse Code Converter

We are planning on expanding our horizons and learning how to program either a simple website our a small game window to be able to use the hardware for a simple game.
