Inspiration

We're students at KIT, an top 100 worldwide university for computer science and our lecture directory sucks. It's slow, not easily searchable if you're not sure what you're looking for and lacks lots of information. Additionally we feel like feedback from fellow students is really valuable and we often turn to older students to ask about lectures.

What it does

LectureCloud lets you easily filter and bookmark courses. Before, we had to navigate through 7 layers of faculties and different categories, now you're able to see lots of lectures at once and can refine your search further. Only need 2 more ECTS? Filter for that. Want to do a workshop? Filter for that. Comparing different options is where LectureCloud really shines. Instead of just providing the lecturers name and a short description, we also collect students ratings of the lecturers and courses, study tips and the resulting grades, so you know what to avoid.

Challenges we ran into

As for right now, our only challenge is the time constraint. It took us way too long to come up with the concept, our design and set up the tech stack. More challenges will probably arrive sooner than later.
