Inspiration
Students go through unnecessary headaches when skimming through long lecture videos trying to find that one clip, moment or reference in the video they actually need
What it does
Lecture Clipper simplifies lecture videos by creating timestamps for different parts of a video logged by the user which can be watched later instead of watching the entire video looking for that moment
How we built it
The frontend was designed using react and tailwind css while the backend is being managed by supabase.
AI tools were also made use of in the building of the project. Tools like Gemini: To design the workflow and compete the operational logic.
Lovable: To create the supabase backend amd user authentication.
Challenges we ran into
While building lecture Clipper, there were a few challenges one of which was getting the video to clip and log properly into the database but with the help of lovable AI, it was made possible.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The completion of the project itself is an accomplishment
What we learned
Learned how to incorporate AI tools into my workflow to reduce build time and increase productivity.
What's next for Lecture Clipper
Just keep improving on the project and adding new features.
