Lecture Buddy

Inspiration

Every college student knows how boring lectures are and many feel uninvolved since they cannot ask questions.

What it does

Allows students to ask teacher questions through their phone. Teachers can create a room and let students scan the QR-code on the screen or enter the code and ask questions in the room. Teachers can view, focus or dismiss the questions.

How we built it

NuxtJS and Firebase Firestore

Challenges we ran into

• Incompatible browsers
• Not knowing how to use Flexbox

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• A finished MVP with all the features we planned
• No known unsolvable bugs in the app
• Finished hours early
• Works on mobile and desktop

What we learned

How to use Firebase and Flexbox when creating our web app. We also learned how to work as a team and collaborate on the project through git.

What's next for Lecture Buddy

Improving the layout, adding mini-quizzes, adding an understanding survey, and adding authentication
