Inspiration
As a student of color, I didn't have access to a higher academic setting so the transition to college was difficult. I felt like my notes were disorganized and just hard to understand with the academic language. My teammates felt the same, so we decided to help resolve this problem using this AI.
What it does
Lectify is a note-making AI designed to make lectures easier to understand and expand educational accessibility. It takes recordings from lectures and then transcripts them. From the transcript, it uses keyword detection to organize important ideas and concepts. This app has different features, including study guide making, quizzes made from the notes, reminders, and a drive to save your notes.
How we built it
We used html, java script, and cs to build our prototype website. We also used canva and R Studio for slides and data visualizations.
Challenges we ran into
It was hard finishing the project in time, and we had trouble making the website to showcase our project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our teamwork and overall project idea.
What we learned
We learned how to intregrate our diverse skillsets into the project.
What's next for Lectify
Possibly getting funding and making it into a real app.
