Inspiration
We had seen other colleges do it, and we wanted Laf-Leh to do it too (plus Moravian, Cedar Crest, DeSales, and Muhlenberg). College students have items they don't need, and it's much easier to sell from campus than worry about other online websites that may not make legitimate deals. Plus, anyone in the Lehigh Valley can buy from LeBay - not just students.
What it does
You can scroll through listings posted by students and contact the seller directly to set up a pick-up/purchase, and then make your own with just a few pieces of information.
How we built it
We built the frontend with SvelteKit/Tailwind and connected to a DB using Railway/Prisma.
Challenges we ran into
We had issues connecting to our database and had some learning curves with SvelteKit/Tailwind.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we all learned something new! Everyone learned together about web dev and databases.
