LearnWise is an initiative to help high school students with their studies and homework by taking advantage of the new technology. The pseudo idea behind this platform was to create better learning opportunities along with basic interaction amongst student and teacher. To make this platform efficient and reachable to a majority of students, it will be built as an android platform keeping in mind the economic feasibility. This platform will give a technological head start to the coaching institutes and school who are ready to provide digital tests, material and homework to their students in turn making the evaluation process easier for them.
The main functions of the applications are mentioned below:
General Features: ● Each user can sign up or login into the application with his/her mobile number. ● Each user can create and edit his/her profile whenever required which will include basic personal and academic details. Student Features: ● Dynamic news feed related to the institution and academics. ● Join the classroom using course code. ● Practice questions along with solutions for each chapter of the registered course. ● Students can bookmark questions and also report if the question contains some bug. ● There is a section for quizzes in which the teacher will activate the quiz and the students will be notified about the quiz and they can attend the quiz within a limited time period. ● At the end of every quiz student will be given interactive feedback through charts. User will be informed about his/her rank and performance in the class. User can give each quiz for one time only. ● Student will receive messages from teacher and they can either mark it as ‘understood’ or ‘confused’ which will help teacher to get the idea to explain in detail or not. Teacher Features: ● Teacher can create a classroom which will be activated by the admin. ● Teacher can tell them the course-code required to enter the course. ● Teacher can see the list of all the students registered in the course and can also view his/her academic and personal profile. ● Teacher can send messages to the classroom and will get feedback whether students have understood the message or not. ● Teacher can send attachments to students. ● Teacher can set timings for the quizzes and can activate the quizzes for specified chapters, about which the students will be informed. ● Teacher will get notified about the bottom 20% students and their weak points.
