Inspiration

Students often struggle to identify industry-required skills, manage their learning, and prepare for internships and placements. We created LearnSphere AI to provide personalized learning guidance and help students achieve their educational and career goals.

What it does

LearnSphere AI is a personal AI learning coach that helps students learn more effectively through:

AI Quiz Generator: Creates quizzes on selected topics with different difficulty levels.
Study Planner: Creates structured study plans based on skill level and available study time.
Quiz Analysis: Helps students evaluate their performance.
Smart Recommendations: Suggests next steps based on learning goals and progress.
Progress Tracking: Helps students monitor their learning activities.

How we built it

We used React.js and Vite to develop the frontend, Python and FastAPI for the backend, and Google's Gemini API to generate AI-powered quizzes. We also used the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to organize learning tools such as study planning, quiz analysis, and recommendations. GitHub was used for version control.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating the AI quiz generator with the backend, validating API requests, and configuring environment variables were challenging. We also encountered CORS and deployment issues while connecting the frontend and backend. Troubleshooting these problems helped us understand full-stack integration and deployment.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed an interactive learning platform that combines AI-generated quizzes, study planning, quiz analysis, and learning recommendations. We are proud of bringing these features together into one platform designed to support students' learning and career preparation.

What we learned

We improved our skills in full-stack development, API integration, generative AI, and backend development. We also learned about MCP, environment configuration, debugging, and cloud deployment.

What's next for LearnSphere AI — Your Personal AI Learning Coach

We plan to add personalized learning paths, skill-gap analysis, improved progress dashboards, and more adaptive recommendations. Our goal is to help students identify their strengths, improve their skills, and prepare confidently for internships and placements.
