Inspiration
As a college student, I’ve noticed that I learn best when I’m not just reading or taking notes but actually explaining things in my own words. The Feynman technique and active recall have helped me understand difficult topics more deeply, but staying consistent with them is honestly a challenge.
By creating daily entries, users naturally apply the Feynman Technique. And with streaks, they’re encouraged to revisit ideas regularly, reinforcing active recall without it feeling like a chore. LearnSpace allows people to leave comments on each other’s entries, adding their own insights, asking questions, or offering gentle corrections. It creates a collaborative learning space where everyone can grow together.
I also realised that we’re all a little competitive—even with ourselves. So I added an XP system. The more you learn, post, and encourage others, the more XP you earn. It creates this small but meaningful sense of progress that makes learning feel fun again, not overwhelming.
What it does
LearnSpace is a simple, gamified learning journal that helps students understand and remember what they learn each day.
Users can:
- Create daily learning entries where they explain concepts in their own words .
- Maintain daily learning streaks that encourage consistency and help reinforce active recall.
- Tag their posts so entries stay organized by subject or topic.
- Receive comments from others, allowing peers to add insights, ask questions, or gently correct misconceptions.
- Earn XP for posting, making learning feel rewarding and fun.
