Inspiration

Many students struggle to understand topics quickly and spend hours searching for notes, summaries, and explanations. I wanted to build a tool that could instantly turn any topic into structured learning material using AI.

What it does

LearnovaX is an AI-powered study assistant that helps students learn faster. It can generate notes, summaries, explanations, and practice exams from any topic. Students can also ask questions to an AI assistant aligned with their syllabus.

How we built it

LearnovaX was built using React Native and Expo for the mobile application. The platform integrates multiple AI providers through APIs, including Groq and other LLM providers, allowing access to different models for generating study content. The system can use various models to generate notes, summaries, explanations, and exam questions based on the student’s topic. This multi-provider approach improves flexibility and allows the app to use different models depending on the task. The app sends the user’s topic to the AI model through secure API requests and then formats the response into structured learning material inside the mobile interface.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was structuring AI outputs, so they are actually useful for students and not just generic text. Another challenge was designing a simple interface that makes complex AI tools easy to use.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we built a fully working mobile app that can generate learning materials instantly. The platform combines multiple AI study tools in one place, including notes, summaries, exam generation, and an AI tutor

What we learned

This project helped us learn how to integrate AI models into real applications and how to design tools that solve real problems for students.

What's next for LearnovaX

Next, we plan to improve personalization, track student progress, and expand the platform to support more subjects and smarter AI tutoring features
