What it does

LearnLoop is an AI-powered study support web app designed to help students study more effectively for quizzes, midterms, and exams. It helps students turn their notes, mistakes, and weak areas into quizzes, walkthroughs, cheat sheets, and daily review tools. The goal is to make studying more active, personalized, and easier to stay consistent with over time.

How we built it

We built LearnLoop as a web application using JavaScript, Node.js, Express, Tailwind CSS, and AI-powered workflows. The project combined front-end development, prompt-based content generation, and file-based study input to create a more personalized study experience. We also focused on making the interface simple and easy to navigate so students could move between different study tools quickly.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was narrowing the project scope and deciding which features to prioritize within a short hackathon timeline. We had several ideas for how LearnLoop could support students, so we had to focus on the features that would make the strongest demo while still keeping the product useful and cohesive.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we were able to turn the idea into a working demo within the hackathon and bring multiple study features into one platform. LearnLoop combined quizzes, walkthroughs, cheat sheets, and daily review in a way that felt practical, student-focused, and presentation-ready.

What we learned

We learned a lot about teamwork, rapid prototyping, and building under time constraints. The hackathon pushed us to divide work effectively, communicate clearly, and focus on building features that solved a real student problem.

What's next for LearnLoop

We'd like to continue improving LearnLoop by refining the personalization system, polishing the study workflows, and expanding progress tracking. In the future, we would also want to build a stronger mastery system to better support long-term learning.
