Inspiration
Most students never get taught practical money skills in school. Budgeting, savings, taxes, GST, and fraud awareness often feel boring or overwhelming. We wanted to change that by making finance fun, simple, and engaging. That’s where Learnix Money comes in—a streak-based platform to build financial literacy habits one day at a time.
What it does
Learnix Money delivers 4 daily micro-lessons on financial literacy topics such as saving, budgeting, and fraud prevention. Each lesson is followed by a 5-question quiz. Scoring 3 or more keeps your streak alive. The app also integrates tools like a GST calculator and finance news API to make learning practical and relevant. The streak system turns finance into a game, keeping learners motivated.
How we built it
Frontend: React for slides, quizzes, and streak tracking.
Backend: Node.js + Express to manage quiz logic and API calls.
Database: MongoDB for user data, progress, and streaks.
APIs: GST calculator + finance news API to add real-world functionality.
Design: Clean, intuitive, gamified UI with streak counters and daily challenges.
