Inspiration Information is everywhere, but understanding it is difficult. We wanted to build a tool that helps anyone instantly understand documents, reports, code, research papers, and websites regardless of their background.
What it does
Unti is an AI-powered Universal Knowledge Explainer. Users can upload documents, code repositories, reports, images, or URLs and receive simplified explanations, summaries, key insights, quizzes, and personalized learning guidance.
How we built it
We built Unti using the Gemini API for multimodal understanding and reasoning. The platform processes PDFs, presentations, images, code, and web content, then generates adaptive explanations, summaries, visual insights, and interactive Q&A experiences.
Challenges we ran into
Handling multiple content formats consistently was challenging. We also worked to ensure accurate explanations, maintain context across large documents, and provide responses tailored to different knowledge levels.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a single platform capable of understanding diverse content types and transforming complex information into clear, personalized, and actionable knowledge for users.
What we learned
We learned how to leverage Gemini's multimodal capabilities, improve document understanding pipelines, manage context efficiently, and design user experiences that make AI explanations more accessible.
What's next for Unti
We plan to add collaborative learning, advanced mind maps, real-time web research, multilingual support, personalized study plans, and deeper integrations with educational and productivity platforms.
