Inspiration

As students ourselves, we were concerned when we read the following statistics- -- An estimated 20% of the workforce in the UK will be significantly under-skilled for their jobs by 2030. This could amount to around 6.5 million people. (Oxford Learning College) -- 88% of young people aged 16-24 think that digital skills will be essential to their careers. (Oxford Learning College) We wanted to hence, make a one stop solution for all the fellow learners just like us!

What it does

LEARNiFY can show you everything related to the topic you want to learn about!

-- JOB PROSPECTS- the salary, skills required, time frame for mastering this field, etc. -- PERSONALIZED LEARNING PATH- Just input the skill you want to learn, the time you can dedicate to learn it, and the level of mastery you want. LEARNiFY will provide you with good plan with action points, project ideas, and learning resources and milestones. -- CONNECT WITH PROFESSIONALS- Build meaningful connections and be up-to-date with what is happening in the industry of your choice. Just put in the link to the people you want to connect with and you'll get a personalized message to send while connecting. -- Build a Stellar Resume- Get your CV made in minutes by just inputting your stats. It will provide you with a LaTeX that you use to get the formatted resume!

How we built it

We used Streamlit to help us with the app-development. Also incorporated OpenAI API to help us with generating content to help the end-users.

Challenges we ran into

Finalizing a topic to work on as we were overwhelmed by the plethora of options available, but we are proud that we could build something that would personally help ourselves and our peers! Also, making sure all of the 4 of us contributed collaboratively and equally to this project was crucial for us. It was challenging at times but we had regular check-ins with each other and continuously helped one-another.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Since all four of us are at different levels of coding proficiencies, we conquered by dividing each task on the basis of what each individual's strong points are. We are a team of a undergrad 1st year CS student, and three transitioning masters CS and Data Science students (Backgrounds in Languages, Designing, and Business development).

What we learned

As first time hackers, we learned how to work together under strict time constraints and build something we have never done before!

What's next for LEARNiFY

--Add more methods of learning to tackle different ways people learn- Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, etc. --Improve the overall UI/UX and aesthetics of the website.
