Inspiration

It's been known that active recall is one of the best ways to study! So, combining active recall, and making it more personalised for the student was our inspiration.

What it does

LearnHive takes pdf documents or textual data and summarises it to find the important data, and converts it into a quiz. Based on the user performance and what questions the user had gotten wrong, new questions are generated for the user to take.

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, OpenAI API, MongoDB Atlas.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges we ran into were integration issues with the frontend and the backend. We were also unsure of the initial layout and design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the fact that we were able to create a user-friendly website in under 48 hours!

What we learned

We learnt the importance initial design, proper communication and documentation!

What's next for LearnHive

The next few steps for LearnHive is more advanced analytics and improved quiz generation. Adding a user community is also something we're looking towards.
