Inspiration
Learning something new can be difficult, especially when you don't know where to start or what to learn first. Many learners search through different videos, articles, and courses, but still struggle to find a clear path that matches what they want to learn.
We wanted to make learning simpler. This inspired us to build LearnForge, a platform that uses AI to turn a learner's idea or goal into a structured, step-by-step learning experience.
What it does
LearnForge helps people learn any topic they are interested in. A learner simply enters what they want to learn, and the AI creates a structured learning experience with clear steps and explanations.
Instead of giving the learner a long list of resources, LearnForge helps break the topic down into smaller parts so they can learn one step at a time.
How we built it
We built LearnForge as a web application with a modern frontend and AI-powered learning generation. The platform takes the learner's request, sends it to an AI model, and turns the response into a structured learning experience.
We focused on making the experience simple so that learners can go from having an idea of what they want to learn to actually starting the learning process without spending a lot of time planning.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was making the AI-generated learning content clear and useful instead of just producing a normal chatbot response. We had to think about how to structure the information so learners can follow it step by step.
We also had to design the experience so it remains simple for someone who may be completely new to the topic they want to learn.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that LearnForge can turn a simple learning goal into a structured learning experience. We also built the project around a real problem that many learners face: not knowing where to start.
Most importantly, we created something that can be useful beyond traditional students. Anyone who wants to learn a skill, subject, technology, or new topic can use LearnForge.
What we learned
We learned that building with AI is not only about generating an answer. The way the AI output is structured and presented can make a big difference to the user.
We also learned more about combining AI with a web application and designing a simple experience around a real user problem.
What's next for LearnForge AI
We want to make LearnForge more personalized. Future versions could track a learner's progress, adjust the difficulty based on their performance, generate quizzes and exercises, and create learning paths based on their goals.
We also want to support more learning formats and make LearnForge useful for anyone who wants to learn a new skill or subject.
