🎓 From Notes to a Personalized Learning Journey

💡 The Problem

Students don't struggle because they lack study material. They struggle because they often don't know what to focus on, what they haven't understood, or who to ask for help.

A PDF can give information, but it cannot understand a student's learning gaps. A quiz can give a score, but it doesn't always explain why the student is weak in a particular concept. And when students need practical guidance, they may feel more comfortable talking to a senior who has already experienced the same college journey.

We wanted to bring all of this together.

🚀 Our Solution

We built an AI-powered personalized learning platform that turns ordinary study material into an adaptive learning journey.

Students can upload a PDF, textbook page, lecture material, or photo of handwritten notes. Our system analyzes the content and generates useful learning resources instead of just producing a summary.

The AI creates key points, summaries, flashcards, flow diagrams, and a topic-based mini-test. After the student completes the test, the system analyzes their answers to identify specific weak concepts and automatically recommends what they should study and practice next.

At the same time, students can connect with seniors from their own college to ask questions, get practical guidance, and access notes and useful resources.

❤️ What Inspired Us

We noticed that many students spend hours studying without knowing whether they are actually improving.

Sometimes the problem isn't a lack of resources — it's a lack of personalized direction.

We also realized that students often feel more comfortable approaching a senior who has recently faced the same exams, projects, placements, and college challenges.

That inspired us to build a platform that combines AI personalization with human connection.

📚 What We Learned

Building this project taught us that creating a useful AI product is more than simply connecting an AI API.

🚧 Challenges We Faced

One of our biggest challenges was making the AI personalized rather than generic.

Simply generating a summary wasn't enough. We needed the system to understand the student's performance and identify which concepts were causing difficulty.

We also had to think about handling different study formats, connecting multiple features through the backend, and keeping the experience simple enough for students to use without confusion.
