Inspiration

It is a well known fact that visual learning at a young age leads to much better and enjoyable learning. Therefore we came up with an application where the user can spawn any 3D model in front of them in AR space as long as it is available on Google's Database.

Relevance to the theme

The theme chosen was Smart Education. Any child with an access to smartphone and internet can use our service to see any 3D model in front of them(in augmented reality). This is particularly useful when a child/student is expanding their vocabulary and seeing an example of the word in front of them and interacting with it is a great learning experience for them. For example: A child learns about traffic lights and can go on their phone to see a 3D model of the same and interact with it. This is a much more interactive experience than just looking at 2D images.

What it does

It takes an input string and the Google Poly Toolkit api uses that string to search for a related model in the database. The string can be in any language and the api will still work.The user can interact with 3D models. The best thing is that the models are coming directly from google's database and hence almost any model is available.

Running the Translation package and had to come up with own native solution.
