Inspiration
Passion for software learning. We love to code, and we want others to love it too! Especially the younger generation. The rate at which technology is advancing, it is only in one's benefit to learn how to code. Therefore, we built this site to aid that learning and encourage others to code.
What it does
This simple application demonstrates the foundational concepts of coding in general (not dependent on a specific language). We explain boolean logic is, if statements, loops and binary conceptual learning.
How we built it
Designed our UI in Figma, translated the design and coded our application in Unity. We divided the work where one person was the product manager and UI & UX designer, and the other two were developers who are familiar with the software.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the challenges we ran into were formatting for multiple screen sizes, setting up some of the workflows for the Unity engine to seamlessly collaborate with teammates, as well as translating complex concepts into layman terms.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we built a fully functional application and that we accurately translated our ideas into a tangible product.
What we learned
We learned that team work really makes the dream work. When one teammate was struggling, another was able to fill the knowledge gap and help resolve the problem. We also learned that it is imperative that the new generation learns how to code from a young age so they do not get left behind.
What's next for Learn2Code
New features that if permitted more time we would incorporate in our application would be the IF statement logic page, loops page, as well as the binary concept page. These application we have right now is the bare bones of a much larger idea.
