I've always been frustrated by how I've been taught in school. There is a high time we fix education, it has been a high time for YEARS, but what better time than today, with the capability that AI offers us.

Presenting before you - Plato - Your interactive AI tutor. The idea behind this web app is to simulate a human teacher, which is to enable proactive teaching - across all domains of learning. Be it an academic concept, a strategy game or even a musical instrument. This is your one stop place for learning anything, with interconnected mapped concepts, resources for visual simulations, interactive teaching and progress tracking.

Let’s dive into it.

I’ve taken an example from middle school Physics here - Laws and Equations of motion. The interconnected concepts have been mapped on a concept sphere. Each concept node can be clicked to view a detailed description and a visual simulation of the concept. You can tweak the parameters in simulations to see the changes in motion and understand the concepts better. There is an AI assistant enabled which lays out a learning progression for you by highlighting concepts in a logical sequence, answering your questions and tracking your learning progress as well.

Next, let’s move to chess. I’ve created concept spheres for openings, middlegames and endgames. The openings include all major openings for white, and defenses by black. The nodes detail the logic behind the opening moves and other fundamental details around it. Same has been enabled for middlegames, which include tactics and other philosophies which one needs to learn to understand chess better. Same has been enabled for endgames as well. Initially I had included practice problems in the chess nodes, but as the nodes kept adding - the app became bulkier, so the idea now is to include a chess board separately and enable interactive teaching on the board.

Also, in the spirit of ‘learn ANYTHING’, I tried something fun and included music theory as one of the subjects as well, rendered a virtual guitar which can play songs on demand while depicting the strings and frets used while playing it. There are still a limited number of songs fed into the code which the user can play. Including other virtual instruments and ability to play and song on demand remains a near term goal.

Next thing which I’m planning to integrate is a voice assistant which works in sync with the chat assistant, enabling the user to interject and ask questions as well, which will facilitate a more interactive experience.

The user can view their comprehesive progress across all subjects as well. The app tracks the progress dynamically, with progress related to the current concept maintained separately.

I am really intrigued wiht what Roy Lee has done with Cluely - but why make an AI learn to cheat, when you can make it learn to teach.

I am looking forward to feedback from the judges as I wish to scale this into a full fletched leanring platfrom in the future. It was really fun building with bolt, thank you for the opportunity.
