Building an Educational Community Platform

Inspiration

Students face difficulty in finding course materials, tracking their progress in assignments, homework and can't get personalized study plan thus we created a one stop solution for this.

What it does

We created a Web app with multiple functionalities like Community support, homework and assignments tracking, calendar scheduling, help link system, customized study plan for students with roadmaps, book suggestions and a AI powered chatbot integrated into our web app for doubt support.

How we built it

We built it using Next.js, React.js, Prisma, NextAuth.js, Mantine, Node.js, MongoDB, TailwindCSS, Javascript, Fastn, Typescript, Python, Machine Learning, Git etc.

Challenges we ran into

Deploying it on cloud was a major challenge as it involved integrating multiple technologies but we did it and deployed it on the cloud and linked it with a Domain registered through GoDaddy Domain Registry.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a one stop solution for students with multiple functionalities that will help students in finding their perfect customized study plan. AI powered chatbot for doubt solving, community support through Discord servers, and customized study plans for students with progress tracking system.

What we learned

We learned how to combine multiple technologies and use it to create a viable and helpful solution to a major problem faced by students.

What's next for Learn Together

  1. Integration with Educational institutions
  2. For better reach, an Android Application will also be built
  3. Gamification of the website for better engagement
  4. AR/VR integration for experiential learning

Basically, we have managed to cover all the targeted fields under our topic AI BASED MACHINE LEARNING SYSTEM and we are quite happy with out project. Basically Learn Together is an site which can be used useful to the upcoming generation taking a community support we have succeeded to authenticate user with discord credentials. Above this we have dedicated space for Calendar (for managing and directing user into a good direction) with keeping track of their progress record . We also have a dedicated space for Learning which includes all the recorded lectures, assignment and projects under a label tag to mark up on the basis of : Not started , done and incomplete , which clearly make our project a good one from User Experience view. Apart from that we have our profile part which have DP directly from your discord with some essential information. Apart from these we have a dedicated Console basically designed for Admin Panel which gave the admin to access and manage our site with no issues and with less complexity. By on our we faced many challenges and we sort many of them which is kind of possible in this period of time . Some of our future Scope are : 1. One on One mentorship - as this is not a point of view as we are not focusing on single student but moreover focused on student community so we take it as a Future Scope. 2. Dedicated login panel - for now our software is capable to add communities no matter it is for tutors or learners . So we take this as a Future Scope of our project. This is our general description for our project and we will be working more on our project to make it more reliable and applicable in real world.
