We wanted to teach people something useful using our ECE skills
What it does
It gives a random word and you will have to press a button to match it with Morse code.
How we built it
We use arudino and our skills of the C programming language from classes! It utilizes a LCD display and it’s library and buttons connected to the microcontroller.
Challenges we ran into
We ended up putting too many eggs in one basket and tried to implement too many features. As a result we ended up struggling a lot in the building process. Code didn’t compile very often, the circuitry worked and suddenly didn’t work. It was much more a hassle than we initially thought!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made one of functions of giving a word and a Morse code challenge work successfully. We are proud of as much as we are able to achieve.
What we learned
Be realistic in our goals. Slow and steady wins the race. And most importantly plan things before jumping ahead.
What's next for Learn to SOS
We are aspiring ECE majors so we hope to astonish the world with our knowledge from the institution of UAlbany for the coming years with many more great and ambitious projects.
