Inspiration
Learning languages has always been one of humanity’s great challenges. In today’s AI-driven world, we believe that leveraging AI can significantly accelerate the learning process.
What it does
It generates text from images to help users learn languages naturally.
How we built it
We used the Google AI API along with frontend technologies to build and package everything into a Chrome extension for easy access and use.
Challenges we ran into
Currently, some AI-related resources still need to be downloaded on the browser side, and we can’t guarantee that every user has them preinstalled. This requires special handling to ensure users can download and set everything up smoothly.
Accomplishments that we’re proud of
It’s super convenient — just right-click on an image, and it works instantly!
What we learned
We learned how to use and integrate Google AI and explored its various capabilities and functions.
What’s next for Learn Language from Image
We plan to let users choose their native language, select the language they want to learn, and download resource packs for better offline or customized experiences.
