Learn it All! Discord Bot

Inspiration

There are a lot of world issues that we just aren't aware of, or we don't really look into or know the details of it or how to help, and that's where Learn it All! bot comes into play, educating us about 10 common world issues and ways to solve them.

What it does

Learn it All! is a user-friendly discord bot that sends out information on any world issue the user selects, as well as relevant links explaining more about the issue and how to deal with it.

How we built it

We used python to code out the entire project, having done research from various sources to collect information from and implement it directly into the code, along with the links to where the data was collected from as well for the user to dig deeper for information.

Challenges we ran into

Having to research how to make the bot know when the user has chosen to follow a specific branch of instructions, such as tracking which topic the user has chosen and which question they chose to be answered.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we are able to use our prior python knowledge in this project which was our very first time creating a discord bot.

What we learned

We had developed our research abilities as well as improved upon our python skills. Having researched various websites for the most reliable and accurate information for the researching part, and learning how to start up and code a discord bot from scratch.

What's next for Learn it All! Discord Bot

We hope to try to host the bot onto a cloud where it is able to run 24/7, along with having more than 10 options to choose from, possibly having the user add, remove, and edit their own topics as well.
