Lean Scheduler is a production planning and scheduling application for discrete manufacturing. Lean Scheduler is based on the current state-of-the-art Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) trend of finite capacity scheduling. However, it uses a novel AUTOMATED what-if analysis approach, instead of the traditional MANUAL what-if analysis approach of APS.

Competitive advantages of the novel approach are (1) the higher quality of results (better schedules) and (2) the results are produced faster than by the current manual APS approach.
