Inspiration

Ever had a great idea and assumed no one would buy it, only to see something similar succeed later? Or believed in an idea but lacked the time or mental bandwidth to fully think it through. Lean Idea Machine was inspired by that gap between intuition and execution.

What it does

Lean Idea Machine instantly turns rough ideas into structured MVP plans, evaluates viability, and assigns a clear score so users can prioritize what is worth building next.

How we built it

We built Lean Idea Machine using Google AI Studio with the Gemini 3 as the core reasoning engine. Gemini handles idea structuring, optional clarifying questions, feasibility analysis, and scoring, while the app focuses on a clean, fast, and accessible user experience.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was balancing depth of analysis with speed and simplicity. We also had to design around the stateless nature of AI Studio while still making the output feel useful, complete, and exportable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We delivered a fully working, public, frictionless tool that produces consistent, structured evaluations and a printable PDF output. The system demonstrates clear Gemini 3 reasoning rather than generic chatbot responses.

What we learned

Strong constraints lead to better products. By limiting scope and focusing on reasoning quality, we were able to create something practical, understandable, and immediately usable.

What's next for Lean Idea Machine

Next steps include optional user accounts, idea history, trend based scoring, and team collaboration features, turning Lean Idea Machine into a full idea pipeline and prioritization platform.
