Inspiration
League of Guessing was born from a simple question: can knowledge be a skill-based game? Inspired by games like Guess Who and competitive trivia, we wanted a fast, replayable experience where deduction matters more than reflexes.
What it does
League of Guessing Mini is a quick guessing game where players identify a hidden champion by unlocking abilities (Q/W/E/R) as clues. Fewer clues means higher score and faster wins.
How we built it
The mini-game is extracted from the full League of Guessing mobile game. We rebuilt the core gameplay loop, UI flow, and logic into a lightweight standalone experience optimized for fast sessions.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was stripping the original game down to its essentials without losing depth. Balancing difficulty, clarity of clues, and session length in a short hackathon timeframe was tricky.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Turning a full production game into a clean, focused mini-game Maintaining skill-based gameplay without randomness Creating something immediately fun and understandable for new players
What we learned
We learned how powerful minimal design can be. Removing features often made the game better. We also learned how to rapidly adapt an existing codebase under tight constraints.
What's next for League Of Guessing
We plan to add multiplayer challenges, daily puzzles, more champions, and deeper progression, while continuing to expand League of Guessing as a competitive guessing platform.
